Last week I shot a video outside at night and it is useless. The camera is not able to focus in the dark.

I will have to try again.

down to less than one tenth of a mA. At that point it looks so dim that it is hard to see if it is on or not.

Finally a light other than the HDS that has an actual LOW!!

It's amazing how bright a light that is "so dim that it is hard to see if it is on or not" can become when you wake up in a sleeping bag at 3am on a moonless night.

Unless the HDS lights go lower than Novatacs and Ra's, there are actually quite a few lights that will go lower. I don't know about mA ratings but the lowest output lights I've seen so far are the Titan, T1A and my MillerMods Arc-P. They can all make my Ra's look bright on lowest setting, and the Titan/T1A is nothing short of amazing.

I suspect that the Tri-V may take top (low?) honors after this. 😱oo:

+1 - total agreement. I don't own a Titan, but I have a modded high cri T1A and a stock T1A and the low low low is the main reason I love them so...(cheesy rhyme - sorry! 😱)

It the Tri-V is even lower, it will only make me want it more. Let's see - :thinking:

HDS :thumbsup:/NovaTac :green:/Ra :thumbsup: are all HDS lights to me. HDS (the person) made all of them and they're all basically the same light with some evolutionary improvements.

As for the Titan, I owned one of the original Ti ones. It's not as low as an HDS/Ra that has had it's low reprogrammed to the lowest low. :shrug:

Definitely looking forward to the low-off once the Tri-V is in contention! :twothumbs
