Is Energizer releasing a long lasting NiMH

Both Sanyo and Duracell have done it, releasing long charge hold/lasting NiMH batts but I'm quite surprised Energizer or shall I say Eveready haven't, yet their one of the leaders in batt technology.

Also wouldn't surprise me if Panasonic do it soon.
 
Most of the LSD cells out there are rebrands, as I think there are only 2 manufacturers of them. Perhaps 3 now.
 
it's much smarter to sell lousy rechargeable cells that don't work the way the consumer had in mind so that people revert back to using primaries, they are so much more profitable in the long run, just ask SureFire, they are still using NiCDs in their rechargeable lights!!!!

Oh, but the NiCD's are battle proven and reliable. Who would want the latest and greatest technology that isn't years behind just to get several times more efficiency?? :crackup:

Don't know if I'd buy them though, I bought a load of Oxyrides for digital camera use....rubbish in my camera.
