So i'm considering getting a set of the elite2000 NiMH aa's for some (5a+) hotwires. I currently have a nitecore d4 and smart eneloop charger. Would these cells be worth it without picking up a better charger, or do i really need something that conditions/discharges for these type cells (lacrosse, maha, something better even)?
I know i can pack charge them with a "smart" 6-12v charger, but these don't condition/discharge do they?
Not really trying to spend a ton to get into these cells so may drop the idea if i need another $50+charger.
Thanks for your input!

Is this a stupid question or something? I have searched and searched and i understand that best performance would be with better charger, but my question is:
Is it worth obtaining these batteries, without a charger that is capable of discharging and analyzing them?

I don't want to create a reputation for asking stupid questions with easily found answers, so please forgive me if i've come across this way.
