I know the "C" cell is sold in the market place, but now that KD and others have the 3.5v rechargeables I would like the added runtime of the "D" cell and the flexibility of the P60.

Has anyone found one yet?

The alternative would be a D Maglight and just drop-in a Malkoff ect..., but I want to keet the Surefire P60 format.

I think the P60 drop-in is around the same diameter as a D cell, so it might not work too well anesthetically. I haven't seen one but I'm sure a Maglite can be modified to fit a P60 type drop-in.

I have a ROP low in a 2D Maglite with KD protected Li-ion D cells - I am very happy with that setup.

One thing to be aware of with the KD protected Li-ion cells is that the protection circuit doesn't allow huge current flow - so if you use them on a light that pulls 10 amps you will have a problem, under 4 amps seems to be fine.
