Is there any single AAA better than the Fenix LD01?

Have you think about the E01? I guess. Not very bright (10 lumens), but it last for hours: 11-hour sun mode + 10-hour moon mode. Very small to.

I have quiet a few AAA lights. For some reason the Fenix LOD didn't impress me. I kept my E0 and the E01. I also have a Jetbeam Jet-u. This one is smaller than the LOD but functions similarly, plus I like the feel and look of it better. I don't know if these are available anywhere anymore, though.

My wallet is not that big. I barely notice it's there even when it's fully loaded.

OK I'm going to go get my SS LD01 out and give it a try. Maybe your right. Lord knows with all the lights I been buying there isn't much cash in my wallet. lol

Happy Holidays

I bought a Maglite Solitaire to see how well it fits in the wallet. I am happy to report that it fits exactly. I know the LD01, being a little shorter, will fit well. The LiteFlux LFX2 seems very interesting. It can not be longer than the Solitaire though. Can someone please do a size comparison?

I need to restate the purpose of this light. It will complement the nano light, which is perfect for a quick up-close use. The AAA light will be used in situation that requires more light such as letting me see across the street. Thanks again for the insights and inputs.

Here is now the Maglite fits

Convenience is why I won't abandon the Nano

Ouch, ouch. The very best AAA light I ever had was the Fenix L0D. It had the power of a 2D incan M*g on my keychain. However, it certainly did NOT have the power to illuminate stuff across the street.

Have u considered buying a Tiablo A1?

Another great option I have overlooked. Batteryjunction sold it for $32. Out of stock now though.

Thanks.

NightTime,

Thank you for the size comparison. It's very helpful.

Well, I just recieved a Tiablo MA1 and compared it to my LOD RB80. The tiablo reflector is definately deeper resulting in more throw and lux and also has a more neutral tint FWIW(to me it's worth alot!). It has now taken over as my new EDC.

There you go. It's a composite picture, but I respected their size. Should be very accurate.

I notice the Liteflux light has a clip attachment that goes on the tail. Does that extend the length of the light a little bit? Thanks.

Re: LD01 SS - Comments & Feelings Only a Flashaholic Could Understand

I just got my SS LD01, and for now its the AAA king :twothumbs

+1 I wholeheartedly agree. I have (2) Fenix LD01SS Special Editions . . . each on a separate keychain, i.e., one on my automobile K.C. and the other on the around-the-house K.C. When I pause to think about it, the diminutive torches are pretty amazing, actually, for each and every time I need to use either light, I anticipate the beam of pure, warm, white light that's about to occur ... which, in of itself, makes me feel pretty darned happy and upbeat ... while smiling on the inside, dontchaknow! :twothumbs I've yet to be let down by the quality of illumination from the LD01SSes . . . in fact, FAR from it!

And to think: ALL of this over a stainless steel keychain light. Who woulda thunk?!?? :D

HKJ's post answered your question very well. I'm just adding this link for you:
http://www.light-reviews.com/liteflux_lf2_x/

Scroll down to the end of the page. Actually you can read the whole thing, it's an informative review. Back to the end of the page: you will find lots of close up pics about the clip system.

Enjoy!

I checked it at http://www.batteryjunction.com/a1-tiablo-a1.html

Do you think we can trust Tiablo claims about this: Flashlight Output and Runtime: 110 Lumens, 80 minutes to 50% output ?

Pretty good for a AAA flashlight. I'll have to do some research now.

I have both the SS LD01 and the black, both are great, but I prefer the black over the SS. Lighter weight and less slippery.
