Sunday it was 100, today it will be in the low 70s. The nights are getting cool and crisp. The leaves are changing and so is my EDC. Most of my LEDs are going the way of my shorts and tank tops, in a box to be reopened next spring.

I've just "activated" my C3 and M3. 9V SF incans are so satisfying in the misty autumn nights. The C3 is my jacket light along with a full SC1. The M3 is now my night stand sentinel. My M6 is waiting for the corn maze and the graveyard tours that make this season sooooo entertaining. An M2 kit now rides in my backpack.

Incan Season is right around the corner if not here already!!!

After having moved out of So Cal about 4 1/2 years ago, I find it hilarious that 70 = jackets (even though I was guilty of it too). I mean, I was in shorts til 50 back in Michigan.

Uh.. no change in EDC for me! Mainly cuz my clothing doesn't change too much: scrubs daily.

Having a jacket on nightly dog walks means more pockets to carry more lights. I agree with you about the incans, I've been noticing my A2 and E2E are doing a great job with the coloured leaves on the ground.

59 here and it's jacket time for me!
I'm thinking a P90 2X18500 in a bored 9P body for the times I want an incan and a Milky warm MC-E KL3 finned head on a C3.
3 cell bodies all the way! Run the 2 Li-ions when you got them then switch out to primary cells and keep going.

+1 on the pockets – just yesterday my EDCs could go from two back to three with the addition of my jacket.

It's kind of a little miracle that the voltages from 2xLiIon = 3xCR123, which is especially helpful for the unregulated incans. I for one cannot understand why 2xCR123 bodies are so much more popular than 3xCR123 bodies here, as not only are three lithum primaries ~55% better than two, but in addition, two 17500's are ~100% better than two 16340's.

I belt carry my lights, so no change in lights for me, however winter is every flashaholics favorite season "well, mine at least:whistle:" I can run my EDC-P7 longer and use it as a hand warmer, also I am actually getting a chance to use my lights outside now that it's getting darker much earlier:twothumbs.

My EDC really won't change(Quark 123 neutral usually)but I will carry another light in my jacket pocket.Probably a G2 incan or an INOVA T1 to work where I leave my jacket on a hook.On other occasions the MD2 w/M60W may be riding along.:D

Just waiting for GMT to kick in - an hours less daylight :candle:

Also dusting off the bigger lights... my first winter as a flashaholic - I think I had better order some rechargable 18650's :grin2:

With a jacket I'm more likely to be packing the L1. In fact, tonight will get cool enough to get out the coat and load up.

As soon as it's done and back in my hand.....

My first Milky Mod! A Milky L4:party:

That thing will probably ride everywhere this winter with me. :hitit:

Congrats! I'm sure you'll like it, my one & only Milky has been with me ever since I got it this spring.

During the cold months wearing a jacket, I tend to carry my SF G3 (P90 w/ 2x AW 17500). During the dead of winter when approaching <0F, I'll carry the same setup but with primaries and maybe switch out the P90 for the P91.

Of course, the above will be in addition, not in replacement of my usual EDC light (rotate between E1B, LX2, and A2). :D

BTW, 70 is perfect weather, not jacket weather! :nana: It was mid-50's here today and I still went out this evening in shorts, sandals, and a hoodie!

oh, surefire L4s worth their weight in gold as hand warmers on cold days, with 17670s they really dominate the best of two worlds:thumbsup:

It's in the 50's here, still no change in clothes or EDC, I LOVE this colder weather, but tonight it's supposed to drop into the 30's. I'll probably go back to my P100A2 instead of my Quark AA neutac as it'd be easier to use when I finally do decide to put gloves on.

Was 50s last night, I was in the same get up - flip flops, shorts, and a hoodie.

My girlfriend, a WI native, was in jeans and a hoodie. I gave her crap for that

Oh, and yes, I did carry a G2 and my SL Night Comm last night in addition to my Connexion.

Its just coming into summer here :)

I was carrying a Novatac EDC120P, Fenix P1ce and Fenix L0p all winter,
i have just recieved some new "toys" so next winters jacket carry may be a L2, A2 or lumensfactory p7 head on a 4cell body
may also be a Neofab Legion II (still waiting for that one to arrive)

It was 86F here Sunday, I woke up this morning to 43F (50 inside my house).

I'm still sleeping with the windows open and piles of blankets. Everything's good until you have to get out of bed for work in the morning

Anyway, it's not quite deep winter yet, but I did start wearing a lite (light?) coat and I certainly appreciate the new supply of pockets.

My Icom HT moves to my jacket now from my edc bag, one of my A2's moved from storage into a zippered pocket out of habit but it may be replaced with my 6PDL/M60W. I'm having a hard time finding something to do with the M60W around the house, it's just too bright, or perhaps I'm used to lights with at least low and high.

I'm really looking forward to corn maze season, A2's this new M60W and I pulled out my M6/1185 and charged it up the other day. We should try to have a CPF/Midwest Corn Maze get together :)

My neighbors are used to me playing with lights now but they probably still think it's odd. I'm hoping to be able to afford the LF M6 P7 head next paycheck. It won't be as bright as my 1185 but the runtime will make up for it.
