I purchased a Nitecore HC30W headlamp through a group buy from GearBest in May of this year. The rubber piece that attaches the light to the headband broke around one of the mounting loops. I wrote to Nitecore asking for a replacement under their warranty. Well, you would have thought I was asking for their first born male child. First they wanted me to provide the model #, the date and place of purchase along with the receipt. I gladly sent them this information. Then they wanted the s/n off the light. I sent that to them. Then they claimed the s/n was not in their database and they told me to contact [email protected] to locate the proper service center for me. I did this and they wrote back saying they would ship one from Hong Kong but I would have to pay the shipping charges. I could buy an entire new headband for what they wanted to charge me. We're talking about a part that probably costs .50 cents. I cannot believe they wanted me to jump through all these hoops for something so small. BUYER BEWARE when purchasing anything from Nitecore, their warranty is useless.
