 Let me start by saying I am new to the whole "high power" LED world. In that respect I am not an expert and will report only my experiences and opinions. Here is the thread that I found that swayed me to take the LED plunge and it seems to be expertly written. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=230019

Okay all I received my M1X and have had only one shift to play with it! First impressions were great and I was amazed at the power this light packs since it is not "AS" big as I imagined! I compared it right away to my Mag and a fellow officer's Surefire E2D. It blew both out of the water! I did find the owners manual left a bit to be desired and thanks to a you-tube video I quickly figured out the functions and how to work them. First real chance for use: I noticed several kids packed into a vehicle in a parking lot where I stop to eat on my patrol. They had not noticed me watching them smoke what appeared to be marijuana. I approached the vehicle and drowned it in light from the M1X. They were surprised to say the least and that is when I fell in love with this light because from front to back the vehicle was illuminated, not a chance of movement going un-noticed. I look forward to having this light on all my shifts and will add here as I go. I made my purchase at CFRlights.com and it was above expectations, I liked speaking with Dan. I am new to posting these review type threads and will have to fine tune my posting skills. Thanks to CPF as it was this forum that led to my discovery of high powered LEDs.

@ Hyperloop, no I found it to be "Salvia" which is not yet illegal here. I am glad you added the link thank you.

@ fyrstormer, I am in no way an expert on this subject but from what I have observed/heard is that the M1X has much more throw then flood but in the little bit of room that a vehicle offers it "fills" (as floods may not be the right term in this case) that little amount of space very nicely. The TK40 for example has much more flood power then throw. That is second hand info though as I do not own a TK40 and anyone please feel free to bash me/correct me if I am mistaken.

Thanks for the welcome all! I find myself looking for excuses to use this light!!!!!!!!!!! Love it more and more every night.

heheh, I bet those kids jumped out of their skins when you blasted 'em with the light- especially as they were probably, err, "buzzed." No offense to them or to you, just think the story is kinda funny.

None taken, that is why I posted. The looks on their faces were priceless!
