Hi Guys
I got some new Jetbeam torches and gear a few days ago so here is a quick look at them.
In the box was
1x PC25: I realy like this one "Floody"
1x BC-40: The Tatical grip ring locks solid maybe they have fix this on the new BC-40's
1x TC-R2: Number 011 out of 500 nice and low.
1x BC20: keeper good back up
1x BC20s: Not a fan of the netral tint I will not be keeping this one.
1x RRT-3 holster: finally I have a holster for my RRT-3

First the PC25 this is a great light for the price it fits in the hand very nicely.
I like the operation of this light and the side switch works a treat. You have 4 levels Low/med/high/turbo and there is a strobe in there as well making it 5 levels. They seem to have got the balance between the levels perfect.
The rear clicky turns the light on and then with the side switch you can go through the levels. Hold the side switch down for more than a second and you have strobe. If the light is off you can also press the side switch in for a momentary strobe.
The torch also has a Memory which I like.
I did have some pre thoughts about the side switch but now I have used it I really like it. With the light switched on you can so easily switch between levels by just using the side of your thumb knuckle. It is so much more comfortable and faster than using the rear switch to switch between power levels.
The Tactical grip ring also locks solid but so does the one on my BC-40 so maybe Jetbeam have fixed this ?
The torch comes in a cool case with a holster and the normal o’rings, Lanyard & tail cap cover (no side switch cover )
I have only used this light out the back yard and with the XM-L chip it is a great flood light more so than a thrower that’s for sure.

I really like the PC25 with the mode switch and forward clicky plus the tail-stand capability. Was considering getting this a week ago. Then Sunwayman posted an awesome looking V20C on the manufacturer's corner. Now I can't decide which to get. Hoping to see more reviews on this 2 lights before making a choice!

That Sunwayman looks like a good light put after using the PC25 I am sold on the side switch. So easy to switch between light modes

cheers

I was going to pull the trigger on one of these too, but got to play around with it a little. I loved the smooth barrel with the tac grip, it just felt right. Also I loved the idea of the side switch, but, it does take a little while to get used (as in such activating it with the side of your thumb or pointer finger). Yet in my opinion is a lot better than twisting the bezel or tail switch as Rat has mentioned. What kept me from taking it home was how floody the beam profile was. There was no REAL defined hotspot. So for anyone considering this light, if you love a very bright flood tac light, this would be the one for you.

BTW very nice overview of the PC25 Rat. Everything covered for exactly what the light is.

jetbeam pc25, opinioins??

http://www.jet-beam.com/links/pro/pc25.aspx

I have 2 jetbeam lights already and love them, jet iii m r5 and jet iii st pro. Was in need of something new and was deciding whether to upgrade to the xm-l jet iii or the pc25. After doing some research the pc25 was the winner, seems like a very well made and thought out light. Hopefully i like it

hemi1300 your thread has been merged into an existing thread which should answer your question.

If the PC 25 were less floddy and had more throw, I'd definitely get it. I am considering the Fenix TK15. I like the new wave of UI, the side switch. I feel it's less complicated than twist UI and can be used on the go more readily.
