JETBeam RRT3 tailcap issue

I’ve been using a RRT3 for 11 months, often in wet environment (rain, speleology etc). About a month ago I couldn’t switch it off any more by the clickie, only by turning the tailcap, also batteries seemed to get discharged even when the light wasn’t used. Returned to the supplier for inspection they found out: nothing, everything worked perfectly, still for the next few weeks. Next time using it in the rain the clickie problem returned, so I disassembled the tailcap: everything inside is messed up by corrosion (I'll post pics as soon as I find out how to...).

The plug that protects the remote-switch-socket leaks (especially when moved by the protruding leash), the socket itself is not sealed, so moisture can make its way inside the tailcap and won’t dry there unless you disassemble the unit.
In this case the clickie was bypassed by verdigris, but even a short-circuit seems to be possible, since + and – are located side by side on the circuit board.
I’m still waiting for an answer from JB customer service, the supplyer warned me not to expect too much from them...

(beg your pardon for my english...)

edit: Can't post pics, "you may not post attachments", perhaps because this is my first post...

Accidentally found this thread while I was looking for a RRT-3 tailcap mod guide 🙂.
I've had some experiences with Jetbeam customer service. They're quite ok. Fixed things up properly. They're a little slow though. Took 2 weeks repairing my M1xm plus 2 weeks in transport back and forth. So you need to be patient with them (in case you haven't got it repaired yet)

Yes! That's what I'm looking for. How do you remove the remote pressure switch cover? The threads for the stainless ring seems to be a part of the remote pressure switch cover itself. Just cut it out and place GITD rubber boot?
