Hi there

I should confess that I am confused with all those JetBeam´s models and numbers! I can´t say which one is the newer or better.

Well, I´m looking for a SINGLE CELL JetBeam light, powered by 1xCR123, but I do accept 1xAA powered too...

Can someone point me the best model ? I want something small but powerful! I don´t have any JetBeam yet, but I always loved their finish and anodization (but I only saw from pics...).

Opinions ? Links ? Pics ? Explanations ? Send them all!

Thanks in advance

I just recieved the RRT-0 a week or so ago and it is a great light. Uses both single 123 and AA with the extender. High is really high and the lowest low is just that low. I would take a look at it and see what you think. You just can't beat jetbeam for quality and price.

I saw RRT-0 too... but I´m a little afraid about that rotation mode ring.

Is it trustable ?

I´m asking because I live in Brazil and here we don´t have customer service easy like you guys have in the US...

Are there other models ?

jetbeam has been using the selector ring on their latest and greatest. The rrt-1, rrt-2 and now the rrt-0. i have all of them and have not had an issue with any. I much prefer the selector ring on the rrt-0 as it has a very "pronounced" feel to it. I am not sure but I would tend to believe that these selector rings will "prolong the life" of the clicky switches (less clicking to change modes? just my opinion) so it is a win win.
get a jetbeam - YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!

Jet I Pro v3.0 warm tint. Sturdy clip and uses AA primaries or a Li-Ion 14500 making it versatile. Noticeably lighter and more compact than RRT-0. Better value also IMHO.

The Jetbeam RRT-0 looks interesting. Will a warm tint version be available and if so any idea as to what type?

+1 I suggest go with the OP reflector.

In the same category is the Dereelight C2H. It really rocks with the SMO reflector. However, I would not suggest you get it instead of the Jetbeam. The JB is more versatile and efficient, but get ready to learn a little programming. But I must say, I carry the C2H with 123 more often than the Jet-I-Pro V3.0 with 14500. Best for deep pocket carry I guess.

Oops: Here's the link to where you can see and buy the C2H. (Buy both LOL)

Probably. I would not wait. If you get a Pro I OP and then add a Raptor 0 warm SMO later if/when available you will have a very nice combo. You could run RCR123's in RRT to keep it light and short and have the Pro I with AA/14500's for closer work and it's versatility.

Agreed. The one thing I forgot to mention.

i love all my Jetbeams, i have (well had, till i dropped it) the Jet I MkIIx (1xAA/14500), Jet I Pro v2.0 (1xAA/14500), Jet II Pro IBS (1xCR123/RCR123) and the Jet III Pro ST (1x18650). I especially like the IBS UI which is why i didnt go for the latest range utilising a control ring.

Few things to note: with my Jet I Pro v2.0, not all 14500s will fit (Trustfire), i have 5 Trustfire 14500s and only 2 will fit in the Jet I but no issue on that as i primarily use eneloops in my Jet I.

For the Jet II Pro IBS, i installed a forward clicky instead of a reverse clicky so programming the IBS is just a bit different but easily adjusted to. On 1xRCR123 (again Trustfire but no issues with fit) it is BRIGHT! But runtimes on max arent all that hot, about 18 minutes or so and the light gets hot! but then again, i don't need max all the time so the light is usually programmed to minimum-med-max, most of the time i can get by with min-med.

Great lights, very very durable and they look good too!

Can you guys list me all the 1xCR123 models JetBeam offer ?

What´s the difference between Jet I Pro and Jet I Pro v3.0 ??

Thanks! :grin2:

What´s the meaning of "torch lumens", as written in JetBeam website ?

I got my eye in that JetBeam Jet-I Pro v3.0. It looks like a good little light!

I think torch lumens and emitter lumens are the same thing. Jetbeam, as well as the vast majority of flashlight manufacturers, rate their lights on the lumens as measured at the emitter. This rating does not take into account the amount of light loss in the reflector and at the lens and does not give you an accurate rating for the amount of lumens that actually make it to the other side of the lens.

Surefire, 4Sevens and some others rate their lumens based upon what is actually coming out the front of the light and therefore are usually a lower lumen rating while being just as bright, if not brighter than those that use torch or emitter lumens.

I believe "torch lumens" implies OTF (out the front lumens)

they rated their "military" lights with torch lumens, and others at emitter lumens, IIRC.

Do not let this deter you from the Jet. 240 emitter lumens is a lot of light coming from a single AA style light using a Li-ion 14500.
