Didn't buy a new light this month but thanks to some great info I got off the forum I was able to fix a flickering light that I had stopped using. The light seems brighter too. So in effect it's a new light to me.
In the the spirit of the forum I just realized I ought to post more detail for the info freaks. The light is a circa '07 cheapo DX 18650 single mode that ALWAYS flickered. After taking the light completely apart I noticed some HAIII on some of the threads on the head end of the of the body tube. I used some fine steel wool to remove it , as well as a good general cleaning with some alcohol and some silicone lube. VOILA!

edit: I used Greased Lightning to strip all the anodizing off of the body tube so now the light looks completely different! :thumbsup:

It actually feels good in hand and the teeth give the beam a slight hexagonal shape that isn't noticable unless you are looking for it.
Just 1 more light...
