its know that leds and luxeon could not penetrate smoke as compare to halogen counterparts

can the new Cree do? :grin2:

btw, whats the difference between Cree and seoul ...? curious :candle:

read somewhere that cree suppiled at 3.7 volts, 350 mah ... then whats with the 700 mah current all abt ?? :candle:

advice needed ...

I can help with the second question,

Cree and Seoul both use the same diode but the Seoul is rated at 240 lumen at 1 Amp and the Cree is rated at 200 Lumen at 1 Amp. I heard Seoul states the maximum efficiency and Cree states the average. The Seoul has a positive die which might cause shorts and the Cree has the + and a - contract on the bottom of the die. Cree has a narrower beam then the Seoul and requires a deeper reflector to focus well while the Seoul only requires a small spacer to get the correct focusing height. The Seoul is almost a direct replacement for the Luxeon.

Sorry if that confused you, I can't explain things well.

i get it thanks

:)

hows the temperature rating?
i recall that the luxeon is abt at 125 *c , cree = ??

thanks
