Just ordered a Quark QK16L mkIII. What do you guys think of it?

It's based on an older design. Originally a 2xcr123 light, Foursevens now do not recommend 2xcr123 in their lights. 16650 is a good alternative without redesigning the whole light.

The material looks almost like a 3D-printed part. Maybe not, but definitely not the same material as before. One thing is, though, they responded very quickly to my email, and I believe they'll be replacing it quickly.
They're producing some parts in grey 3D printed nylon now. For example the Mini Mkiii tailcap kit is available in black delrin or grey nylon for half the price.
Please let us know which material your replacement is made of.
I think I'd rather pay a tiny bit more for delrin (less likely to break?).

Good information here, and yes, I'll let you know. They've sent out a replacement for me, and I should have it Wednesday of this week. I, too, would rather pay a bit more for the Delrin. I've dropped my Slate Blue many times while using it at work with no problems. I don't think the 3D-printed part will fare as well.

I got in touch with Prometheus support because I was interested in getting one for my old quark. Terry said they only have 3D printed tailstand caps available now. I guess the description will be updated soon.

Just ordered a Quark mkiii too. It'll go nicely with my early (2010ish) Q123-2 tactical that I got for 99p from eBay :)
Had to get one while they're on sale (y)
Looking forward to trying the Nichia 319A out.

So, they sent me two replacements. Both of them are the gray material, like the 3D printed examples.

Got a couple of spare tail stand caps with mine.

They're such good little lights. I've been playing around with the aspherical lens kit this week. I really don't like optics but the focused beam keeps me from blinding people when I'm working.
