Anybody know anything about this watch? I ordered a goldtone tank face w/matching band. $261 shipped to Hawaii...

is that the new one they are advertizing inside front page of mags? very thin, goldplate rectangle case, black leather strap, very white dial with very black hand and roman numerals, ultra thin ecodrive movement? if so, nice!

iddi,

Why yes, yes it is. But in place of leather I have the gold bracelet w/hidden clasp. Was this a good price?

I have a "regular" Eco-Drive now (big, thick bulky thing), but it is titanium so at least it's light. But needed a dressier watch for some upcoming occasions so now it will be thin, too...

Very nice watch, they have a saphire crystal i beleive. It is Citizen's entry into a better line of watches.

Once they add a date to these thin watches it will be really great.

I just bought the Citizen Titanium Skyhawk from Princeton Watches 2 days ago, it listed for $550 but was available for $289. I already have the Citizen stainless World Timer, its big, heavy and has a small battery, battery quit while I was inside Walt Disney World. Went to a Disney store on Main St. in the Magic Kingdom that sold watches but they had no batteries for sale...go figure that one out, 10,000 cheap Disney watches and only a few batteries!. So now I wanted a more battery free watch, the Eco-Drive series uses sunlight or regular light to recharge the rechargeable watch battery.

I did not see any info on the Stiletto Mr. Bulk, it must be a new model. Check out the Chase-Durer watches.Good macho looks at fair prices. If you really want quality get a Breitling, its on my next spending spree /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here is a link to Time Zone/Breitling watches, IMHO they are better than an Omega and are more advanced than a rolex but still have the trappings of luxury. Several that have caught my eye are shown below. The top one is the B-2, below is the "Emergency", it actually can transmit an ELB distress frequency the same as a downed aircraft, last time I looked it was about $5,000

My God, is there no end to pricing of high end watches? We just bought a used Saturn auto for one of our daughters that was only $4000, even has a 36,000 mile warranty. I am waiting for a Saturn watch. LOL. Bill

Yes, the Stiletto is a thin dress watch. I have a couple others (Longines and Rolex Cellini, both quartz driven) but since my dress watches are only worn a few times every few months, the batteries keep ticking away and half the time are dead when I do go to wear them.

I have had an EDW (Every Day Wear?) Eco-Drive sports watch for a few years now and it has never let me down, so when the Stiletto came out with the same battery-free system but in a wafer case, I sprung for it. They are hard to find though, I had to go to e-bay and contact the vendor about a gold colored one, did not like the two tone or leather strap versions.

Here's a couple pics showing how thin it is:

And here is the gold-plated one I got:

I now store my Stiletto in a clear ziplock bag face up on the top of a cabinet in the kitchen, where a four-tube fluorescent light fixture shines brightly from above at least twelve hours a day.

congrats, that is a very classy and elegant watch, perfect for the tux and black tie occasions. i like it a lot! (and i'm a "make mine a mechanical movement" man)

Mr. Bulk, how about a 20watt halogen bulb in a reflector? or better yet a couple of luxeons placed in a safekeeping box with a power supply, draws minimal current, should last for many years, sorta like a light-box just for the Eco-Drives of long term storage. With a little bit of work a timer could be installed to turn on the light in the box say for an hour or two per 24 hour period, thus guaranteeing the watch always has a full charge. Since I still have a bunch of luxeons gathering dust thats what I am going to try, hopefully the wavelength is enough to activate the recharger/solar film.
