So I'm gonna give the Malkoff M60 a try. Should I go with a C3-HA or a C2-HA (my all time favorite light)? I'm even considering a 6P-GM. Whaddya think?

I probably won't like the beam pattern of the M60 because I didn't like the M60L for the same reason, I just want to try one out and see what the fuss is about. Probably a C2 or 6P-GM....

It depends what role it's going to serve. For EDC with a handgun, get the C2. If no handgun, just get a good, ol' 6P. If it's not for EDC, you may as well get a 3-cell light for the longer runtime.

C3 cell options... 3xCR123, 2x17500, 2x14500, 2 standard AA cells will fit (with rolled paper) but I don't know if the M60 will light at low Vin.
C2 cell options... 2xCR123, 2xRCR123, 1x17670 (not be as bright)

Neither light is really EDC-capable IMHO, although the C2 can be holstered more comfortably than the C3.

A third option would be to get a C2 and lego a tube extender that way you can power it any number of ways.

My vote is for the C3. The body is a little nicer to use compared to the P-series (you probably liked the grip ring on your C2?), and you have better battery options in the longer body, including 2x17500 and also 2xAA for TEOTWAWKI.

Hmmm decisions, decisions. I'll probably go with the trusty C2 and get a MC2S switch for it if I like the Malkoff.

Exactly what I've got. I'm very happy with it. I've also got a 6P with unmodified switch, but the C2 gets the most use of the two.

Why dont you get a Five Mega or Leef body (either 2 CR123/1x18650 or 3 CR123/2x18500) and then just add a Surefire bezel and tail?

This was you can run rechargeables and keep your options open for when new types of batteries come out...

Well I have a C2-HA on the way. I can still use rechargeables with it, I can get two AW 3.7V RCR123s' and use them. Now I'm off to the marketplace to sell my beloved E1B to cover this one...LOL!

I've running mine in a 6P/Pila 168S/RPM tailcap/glow O-rings (to fill in the gaps).

Nice light, the RPM tailcap really sets it off.

As far as the beam, its better than a lot of my Cree based lights, and while I will admit I am a bit of a "white waller" - in real use I really like the output of this light.

Great choice, C2 is the way to go!! IMHO

Don't sell your E1B, sell a child, a kidney... Not a torch :crackup::nana:
