I have the thumb hole model.
For $20, it is an excellent knife.
The ergos are good, it came very sharp, it is smooth opening, and locks up tight. It has very thin scales, so it rides inside a pocket comfortably. It is also very lightweight.
The blade has a very utilitarian shape, and it cuts like mad. I tested it against a Victorinox Soldier, Case Sodbuster Jr (stainless) and a Byrd Meadowlark.
In order of cutting ability on VERY thick cardboard:
1. Vic Soldier
2. Ka-Bar Dozier thumb hole folder (it was a very close second to the Vic)
3. Byrd Meadowlark
4. Case Sodbuster Jr. This knife was DEAD last. I have no idea why, because I sharpened all of the knives to a razor edge prior to the test on a Sharpmaker.
I believe the Vic had the edge because of the thinner blade.
All of the above are easy to sharpen.
At first, I thought the blade was a bit flexy when open (not due to flex in the blade itself, but due to flexing at the pivot), but not any more than other knives I own.
The clip is a bit small/narrow, and the tension is not terribly high, but I haven't had any issues with it.
The blade spine, lock, and some areas on the scales had slightly sharp edges, so I hit them with a little sandpaper. Everything is now smooooth.
I highly recommend this knife, along with the Victorinox Soldier ($21.50 shipped), Byrd Meadowlark (about $16 + shipping), and if you can afford more, the Spyderco Deilca 4 (I belive around $45 + shipping).
