This is the first aluminium reflector that KD released smooth with fixed cam.
I ran my 50 Watt hot wire tonight for about 15 minutes, the longest it has ever been used, the reflector is now slightly dull and shows some discolouration (some blue tinges), the head was just slightly hot to touch.
Perhaps these aren't as good as the Fivemega reflectors, I've never had a problem with one of Varooj's reflectors.
What is your experience with the newer removable cam reflectors?

I have almost similar problem with KD's SMO version 2 reflector. I ran it on Osram 64640 until the head is too hot to touch, now it has some ripples and produce slight discolouration. KD's smo is not really an SMO and definately not as smooth as FM's one.

I've had no problems (that I recall) with this reflector in my 62138 build (100W). If that changes, I'll let you know.

There you go KD Version 2 SMO with removable cam.

burnt with 623, 633 and 640.

A truer word was never spoken, I received a KD MOP reflector today, using it in a 2C mag with 2 X C Li-ion and a WA 1111 the light has a crappy ringy beam :wtf: isn't the reson you buy a MOP is to clean up the beam? :thumbsdow

Just ordered from FM

despite what i said, for the price i dont mind with the quality of KD's reflectors :ohgeez: i cant simply afford the better alternatives..

dont have problem with KDs MOP though, in my case it smooth out the beam(too much).

thanks.
