Kel-Lite and Mag-Lite 3D Cell Flashlights

I have both a Kel-Lite and a Mag-Lite. Both are 3D Cell size. Does anyone remember Kel-Lite? It seems like a heard that Streamlight bought them out. What is the best/brightest bulbs to use in either of these? Where can I buy them? Any certain battery recommendations? For example, are there 1/2 D in alkaline to boost the brightness? Also, are parts even available anymore for Kel-Lite at all?

Donald Keller invented the Kel-Lite in the early '70's. It was sold to Brinkmann, and marketed under the "Legend" line of Brinkmann lights. I believe Keller is working for Mag-Lite, now...But his original light may still be with Brinkmann.
