Thx! Yeah i know, my plastic ring is also damaged a bit:(
How hard was removal of emitters/driver pill? Is it screw on?

I made this one for a customer way back in time. I really don't remember how hard it was to remove the guts. However this is what you get when they are removed. I remember I machined the inside of the head to remove that wall completely.

Thank you Icarus! Very helpfull.
I think like DS said, heat and good pliers will do the job.

You're welcome. Sometimes (but not always) boiling them (in a plastic bag) is enough to soften the glue. Don't expect the plastic bezel ring to survive the torture.

Oh wow, are you going to replace all those emitters? That's going to take a lot of patient solderimg. Small hands?
P
Yeap, that'll be fun. I have plenty of 90CRI emitters and it would be a shame not upgrading this iconic piece. I don't have small hands [emoji51][emoji51]

:goodjob: but I'm missing the plastic bezel ring in the picture.
.
Forgot about it. Ring, lens and seal were near. Only small scratch on the ring cause i forgot to use bigger pliers first time.

What was the final out come with this bezel what did you do to it in the end?
Thx for asking. After years of sitting in the drawer, i made some progress during Christmas break. All emitters were desoldered and positive and negative wires were replaced with silicone insulated, more flexible.
At the moment i am thinking about what emitters combo should i install since i found in the past few years 90CRI 5mm emitters in various CCTs.
Will upload photos soon.
