The KL3 gives users the option of a long runtime (low output) LED bezel for the standard body models (6P/G2/C2 etc). It is an alternative to the KL5 bezel.
SureFire have shelved the KX5 (replacement for the KL5) and released an updated version of the KL5 - the KL5A as an interim measure.
SureFire have not even hinted at a KX3. They haven't updated the KL3 (to become the KL3A).
The question is whether there is a need for a current long runtime, low output LED bezel for the G2/6P, and if there is, whether SureFire should consider making an releasing one.
So we're looking at a bezel with an output less than the P60L and a much longer runtime.
Are we looking for a KX1/KX2 TIR optic type beam, or a reflector?
If we assume at "KX3" or "KL3A" will be priced the same as the KL3 then does this mean simply getting a whole E2L instead is an option?
Do we want to give SureFire more to do when they are busy preparing to release stuff we also want? (such as the UA2/UB2/P61L/KL9 etc)?
