Since it is prohibited from being exported from the US I wonder if this could have been licensed by Surefire just with the Avengers name on it. Similar to how Pelican manufactured the Browning lights several years ago.

I can't see that being the case with the pricetag

I could, the tooling is expensive and why not put it to use to make a few extra bucks. I dont think Surefire is using it anymore. The Avengers version does not say what it is made from. It would be cheap to use something like ABS or Fiberglass re-enforced nylon. The light seems to sell for around $20 for the Tan version so that is somewhat close to what I would expect to pay. To me it just seems odd that they would say the product can not be shipped outside of the US if it was not somehow related to Surefire. Just a thought though.

Highly doubt SureFire would risk a massive lawsuit from the owners of Marvel. They likely make more profits in an hour than SureFire does all year.

Avengers is touted as an "Airsoft Supply Brand" I don't see any correlation to the Marvel Universe just a popular name 🤔

Airsoft... yet another banned hobby down under 🙄

I'd concur with gg6's guess on this; injection mold tooling is expensive to make - but straightforward to modify.
Did SF surplus off their G2 tooling and this is the result ?

In particular, that nitrolon tailcap is /perfect/ for a late-model, only with its small SureFire logo scrubbed.

Edit:
If anybody is curious, I ran a Qty.5 cart through and their quote for shipping $8.99, so ~$49 total for five.
I confess to being pretty tempted for the black ones, honestly. Looks legit at first glance ...

Allowing anyone to make a buck from one of their designs doesn't strike me as something Suefire would ever do.
There were some Pentagon lights made down under a few years back that were near carbon copies of G2's

Could it be the Avenger came from those molds but used the original shape at the front end?

Regardless, I'm prrrrrrrretty sure these aren't authorized by SureFire. Yet unless the Avenger was competing for a mega contract from a military or government institution they probably don't really care about a few hundred knock off's.

I'm more of a two cell polymer light fan. Didn't really care for the longer G3. The G2Z was my favorite. The thinner barrel is perfect for a cigar grip with the grip rings removed.
