The Responder Nite Tracker 500,000CP Rechargeable will run for 3.5 hours on a charge. It uses a high intesity Xenon lamp and comes complete with charging station, AC and DC charge cords, and heavy duty adjustable shoulder strap. The sealed lead acid battery recharges in 13 hours from a 110 AC outlet and 3-4 hours from a 12V DC source.

They also have a 150,000 CP version that has an 8 hour run time, and a 50,000 to 150,000 CP version that has a 8 / 12 hour run time.

These seem like a good compromise between the high power and long run time, and easy to carry.

Any thoughts? Anyone have any experience with these? Brightguy sells this one for 95$

I have one of these. I've found it to be a very nice light, though the charging station and specifically the connector between the station and the light itself has been some cause for concern for me. I'd prefer to not even use the station, instead just plug a cord into the back of the light, as the station is very difficult to get the light into/out of.

Those are my only complaints - all having to do with the station. Otherwise the light has been very reliable for me. I've had it since just before Halloween (and wow was it fun lighting up the neighborhood with it while taking the kids trick or treating).

I have one of these, too. Overall, I like the light, although beam quality on my unit could be better. I really like the optional flood lens, and usually use the light with it.

I agree totally with Frank C. about the charging station. It is a bear to use (not to mention store)! I just don't know why they made it so cumbersome, when it would seem that just a charging plug is needed. (I guess it was meant for wall-mounting?)

I wish you could just unplug the plug from the station and plug it directly into the light - that way you could use the charging station if you needed it to be wall-mounted, but avoid the station if you don't need to wall mount it.
