KX1 and New L1 compatability Questions?

Is new KX1 head is compatible with E1E and E2E bodies? Is the KL1 head compatible with the new L1 body? I think that it would be neat if backwards compatibility is capable. It would make my Surefire collection very versatile .

The KL1 won't work with the new L1 body as each piece has its own regulator.

The KX1 will only work on the E1E body, unless you use the E2E body with a dummy cell.

Yes, CPF user Size15's posted a neat series of photos showing the difference between the two types of circuits. Basically, the L1 went from what they called the "magic coffin", also found on the L2, to the smaller circuit profile as found in the A2.

Put differently, the circuit board is now perpendicular to the light's axis rather than parallel to the axis...
