LaCrosse BC-9009 LCD assembly question

Disassembled my BC-9009 today. I wanted to see what was inside. The problem I'm having is getting the LCD display reassembled. There are four pieces to the display.



1- clear plastic outer shell

2- LCD panel

3- black inner shell with legs

4- flexible graphite contactor pad. (one edge is beveled)



Assembly of these should be straight forward but I cannot get the display to work correctly.



Could someone possible help me out here.
