Not without skilled modification.
The bulbs are not off the shelf "as is". The input connector plastic is cut off with wires soldered on in its place, The igniter metal outside box is removed (very easy). The return wire ceramic is removed and the wire re spot welded much closer to the glass.
The bulbs are a modified off the shelf Osram D1S 4200K. They definitely were using the old version. I Have not confirmed the newer version Osram or Philips D1S will also work.
The newer Osram D1S has a 4 prong metal bulb support (igniter to glass). The older had the glass tube bonded to the igniter. If the newer version Osram will work then the Philips will (should) VERY likely also work. If the Philips or new Osram will not work it is only a mechanical issue, not an electrical or optical one.
Are you not satisfied with your ph40 or is it broken? Or is it because you want to modify it, i dont understand. You got a link to the spare ph40 lamp in the other thread
