Hmmm does anyone know of a led "lantern". Sort of the same style of a general coleman lantern that has a full 360 degrees of light? I've seen the CMG Bonfire, which while affordable isn't really the light output I'd like. Also I've seen the EW40 Led Lantern at www.theledlight.com site, but at over $200 it is way out of my price range. I think that there would be a need for this kind of light, but I can't seem to find anything other than the two I mentioned above. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Well, here's something I've had my eye on. Anybody have one yet?

Latern on Ebay

Well that's pretty much what Im after cept that it looks like the seller has only taken a stock incandescent lantern and fitted it with an LED replacement bulb. You will notice that he states that there are two modes, a high and a low, but when low is used the bulb doesn't work. I'm looking for basically what he's selling, but with more leds, 8 preferrably, and something that is dimmable. Thanks though.

I can't answer the question about the LED lantern, but i can answer your problem on why you can't post pictures.

I had the same question too when i tried posting a picture a couple days ago. It turns out that all the pictures that we link to actually slows down traffic and forces this site to use more bandwith. It turns out that the owner of this site has to pay for the extra bandwith

Boy do i feel bad for posting so many pictures now. It's funny how we can take things for granted sometimes eh? I heard there was a discussion for donating money and setting up banners for advertisements to help this site stay in top form. I'd be willing to contribute NO DOUBT and i wouldn't mind the banners (just as long as they aren't pop-up ones). I would just like to extend my thanks to the owner of this site and whoever is helping financially.

I was confused about that statement. I took it to mean that the low setting didn't work after the batteries were drained real low. Who knows? But I think you're right about just using a replacement bulb. The problem I see is that the majority of the light still shoots up. Fine if you have a ceiling (in a tent, etc) but not so great if you put it outside on the picnic table.

I figured that traffic might have been the reason. Thanks for the confirmation.

Wow! It turns out that "flood control" is activated too, so I can't post two in a row without a waiting period (I just tried with this one, and failed).
