Large wave of LunaSol 20's **SOLD OUT **

Re: Large wave of LunaSol 20's

You're right, Don. The first 10+ lights I got from you all came in 3 days, like clockwork. It's just been the last two that didn't make the cut. Plus, fedex's record here is less than stellar. It took 3 days for an express package to come from North Philly (less than 30 miles). Oh well, back out to the mailbox.

Re: Large wave of LunaSol 20's

I want one to compliment my Ti PD-S. I have one question before ordering: How does the finishing quality compare to your previous lights? Your comments sound a little like a warning (probably not intended, but heh, I'm paranoid). I don't need perfection, but I want to check before ordering.

Sorry for checking, but I don't remember any such warning on previous threads.

To everyone who helped me get over my paranoia, especially Bernie (great LunaSol FAQ sticky), Yaesumofo (it was actually one of your earlier rants about how great this light was that got me interested initially), JS, Isak, Brighterisbetter and of course Don, thanks for the help...my Ti PD-S is getting a sibling!

:takeit: Email Sent.

Also, Don, if you still have the new silicone boots for the McClicky Mules, please include one in my package...I want to try in in my McClicky Mule. Thanks.

Illumination,
I had hoped to get your light out in today's mail but in the e-mail, you asked what the cost would be and I responded but have not heard back from you so I have not shipped yet?!?

Hye Don,

The lunasol IMHO is the best EDC among the rest of my Gizmo

Well that of cos would end once you do a AA TiPD lunasol10 🙂

Re: Large wave of LunaSol 20's

No love from the mailroom today. I guess tomorrow is looking better. Tracking says it is in town somewhere, but the last few times I've ordered something, it has taken one day from that for it to show up.

Guess what just showed up in Virginia! :twothumbs

Excellent work, as always. Thanks Don!

Re: Large wave of LunaSol 20's

Just wondering if there is any real world difference between the GD converter and the orignal converter which was used in the first run of these lights other than the ability to use a NON primary battery. Any change in runtime or drive current?
Just curious.
I am extreemely happy with my "OLD" units.

Re: Large wave of LunaSol 20's

Yaesumofo,
No difference that I am aware of. The NG in theory should be a bit more efficient than the GD driver (boost VS buck/boost) but whether that would show as dominate over the variations inherent from one light to the other is up for guess.

Re: Large wave of LunaSol 20's

Mine is SOMEWHWERE in the system. They said it was a failed delivery, attempted, notice left. BUT, it was to a corporate mailroom, there is ALWAYS someone there. Now, they can't even tell me where it is, or which PO it might be at. There are three in the zip code, but they won't attempt redelivery unless I instructt hem to do so. If I don't know where they are trying to deliver (clearly not my mail room) then I'm SOL.

Don, if this goes back to you, contact me, and I'll pay for 2d day or something this time.

Re: Large wave of LunaSol 20's

Package received in CA.

First impression is there's a noticeably different (softer) feel to the body that my other Ti PD's. The extra length of the head over the PD-S makes it a better fit in my big hands as well. The tints of the Nichias and the Golden Dragon compliment each other well. More tonight...
