Hey all
I'm wondering a couple things about lasers and battery current and voltage. I've got a wicken ultra that's reading about 42mw and i was wondering if it is safe for the unit to use Energizer e2 lithium in it. Also i've got a 80mw z-bolt module that lives in a surefire Z2. It's pulling about 600ma off of one 123 battery. could i safely use my recharable r123's that run at about 3.6volts but come off the charger around 4 volts. Now i did try this already for a few seconds and i have to admit the laser was considerably brighter but not more so than with a nice fresh battery. It tends to dim consderably as the battery gets used. After the battery voltage drops under 2.9 volts its about as brigth as my 40mw unit. Thats' why i was wondering if the higher voltage may actually be benificial in this situation.
thanks
jimmy
