I've now got two diodes that have very weak output on them and am looking for someone with more experience than I to tell me if they are still good or if I should start shopping for new ones. I will ship them to you and also provide return postage. Both are green both don't have regulating circuits.

:mad:

Also two simple questions. Is running 3.6v at 1000mah into a leadlight circuit going to provide to much power into the diode? or shouldn't the voltage limiting circuit reduce it to safer levels? Can I use the circuit from a greenie to power a red dvd laser? I truly don't understand electronics very well.

You dont need a driver board for a red, just make sure the V/A are within it's safe limits.

and IIRC, Senkat and Psudo both test lasers, if nobody responds, try PMing them.

you can very easily and cheaply construct a variable power output module for a laser. Check Sam's lase FAQ (http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/laserdps.htm#dpssld). all the parts can be bought at a local radioshack. :)

with lasers, you really care more about I(current) than about V(voltage). As long as V is not way overboard, and I is not beyond what the laser is meant to operate at, you should be ok.

good luck;
