For those using Ncd/NimH batts:
I've absolutely no connection w/R.Shack, but noticed they are
closing out one the best pulse chargers that I've ever used.
(this charger has all of the features that a good charger should have & does AAA,AA,C, & D cells)-has:
1. auto/manual discharge for Ncd (discourages nasty "memory" fx)
2. super quick "pulse" charge-no more waiting 4 hours and hours..
3. digital readout of batt.voltage and charge mode.
-This was retailing for abt.$50., but they're closing out at $20. www.radioshack.com item #960-0348
p.s.-sorry I can't help u out on that Mag-charger, Lite-lover

Hey, thanks for the tip Doug

But this charger does sound interesting.

Is there anything it doesn't do ?

I mean seriously, a lot of this is still secret knowledge / stuff to me

( Only recently, I learned that the 3 high spec. lead-acid batteries I had "acquired " and intended to use for experiments ( spotlights ) were probably crystallised with age and useless

)

So if I want to buy only one charger to do for everything, is this a good choice ?

Questions, questions . . . ( $,$ . . )

Well, it only does a great job on those cylindrical Ncd/Nimh batts.
This unit has saved me lots of $ because it has significantly increased the TOTAL number of charges my batteries will accept..-so there have been lots of batteries that I didn't have to throw out!...
