Latest hot rodding for 2D/3D mag lights?

Now that I've A) discovered this place, B) acquired a brace of CREE AA clickies and ordered the new Wolf Eyes HO CREE from Mike at PTS, I'm casting a jaundiced eye at my half dozen 2D maglights and wondering what would be a first upgrade to them bulb-wise. Any suggestions? I searched and found a number of older threads, but wondered if any recent bulb developments have happened that would make sense vs a bulb discussed last year, etc?

you can turn a 2D into a ROP (ROP_1) or you can try to use this bulb (just discovered).
