I was wondering when you would get this one. Almost bought one discounted, and stock, but figured it would be better to wait and get one from you.

Finaly! :twothumbs
Looks awesome! How would you say it compare to TK75kt in throw and lumens?

Not sure if we sign up now or wait for anything? If its on, then ill take one!

Im thinking XML2 5000K, dome on, U3 PDT, engraved and international shipping. :sssh:

What does "polished bezel", "thermal pad for driver" and "dark heat threated bezel" do for me and my light? If someone could explain that i would be happy.

Happy easte all!

What does "polished bezel", "thermal pad for driver" and "dark heat treated bezel" do for me and my light? If someone could explain that i would be happy.

The bezel is the (usually) stainless steel part at the front of the light...it is there to protect the glass window, and since it is much harder than aluminum, it makes drops less likely to result in deformation of the light. Polished bezel is just what it sounds like. Dark heat treated bezel is where Vinh uses a blowtorch to darken and give a sheen to the bezel instead (if you search his threads, you can find several examples of what it looks like). Both are cosmetic, and will not influence the function of your light.

Thermal pads help protect the driver from overheating. Drivers are often more sensitive to temperature than the LED itself, and since all the power has to go through it, it gets pretty darn warm too. Often the driver is not heatsinked as well as the LED, either, compounding the problem. Thermal pads increase the transfer of heat away from the driver, hopefully making it more reliable/less prone to burning out.
