Will the leatherman sheaths for the PST fit the Pulse? I'd like to get the deluxe leather basketweave sheath, but leatherman.com doesn't list it as compatible with the pulse, though it is compatible with the PST, which as far as I can tell is the same size as the pulse. Also, I'd like to try the nylon sheath with the flashlight loop... any opinions on these? Thanks.

Hi Tyler...

I don't think the the sheath designed for the PSTII will fit the Pulse..

I believe the Pulse is slightly wider and somewhat thicker than the PSTII...

Hope that helps...

Eric...

I use the nylon sheath with the maglite loop with my PST, and it works fine.
I find the nylon sheaths much more comfortable than the hard leather ones, because they sit lower on the belt and also don't take up as much space, so if you happen to be lying on top of it or sitting with it against your back, it doesn't dig in.
The velcro flap tends to be more secure also, because it will tend to self close even if it's accidentally opened up, whereas the leather flap will stay open.
All my leather sheaths serve shelf duty-

A gerber general purpose sheath can be found at easternmountain sports for 5 bucks, and they come in acouple of sizes. They are made from a tough nylon materal and close with velcro. hope this helps.
