I have Arc-AAA's in both red and white leds'. I started to order one in turquoise the other day and stopped. When a read about the different colors, I say to myself thats the one I should have ordered. Turquoise sounds great due to its brightness, Green has gotten some nice reviews, Yellow is appealing for its blend of color and brightness. Stuck not being sure what it the best. A couple of times I have thought about just ordering all of the visable colors that I do not have but have again stopped myself. If the Arc is going to become available in a hard finish to match the Arc-Ls, I definately want it but not sure about the color. I would like to have a AAA companion to the Arc-ls with matching finish but want to do it right. This leaves me with a question that aught to be posed to Graness directly. I was wondering if it would be possible to buy the heads in all of the colors except infared and maybe one body to put together a light kit. This would give me the opportunity to play with the various colors and figure out what colors I would want in a Hard finished Arc-AAA as a companion piece to the Arc-LS. Making this decision may still be tought. If I have a 6 or 9 volt Surefire on my person, an Arc-Ls in either white or amber, what color light should the Arc-AAA put out???

It sounds like you have a long range spotlight, and an area and walking light, so that leaves room for either a low level night vision preserving light (green or red, some debate about which is best), or a key chain light for your pocket (white?).

Guy Guyer is now LED Guy (with cape).

Yes, I do plan on carrying three lights on my person at all times as well as all of my other daily carry gear. I currently carry three right now. A 6 or 9 volt SureFire depending on the weather and how im dressed. I also carry an E1 and a Arc-AAA. I plan on changing this to the Powerful Surefire, the Arc-Ls and an Arc-AAA with the Arcs sharing space on the same keyring. I try hard to not use my carry equipment at home or when in the car or truck and instead, use less portable tools. Its just so hard to pick what is best to carry on ones person. Much easier to grab something at home or the vehical. I can't decide the color of Arc-AAA to carry when downtown, or what color to carry in the woods. The thing I have to remember in deciding is that The Arc-AAA will have two companion lights.

That decision is actually pretty easy: White! Our vision is designed to take advantage of a full spectrum of light, so you will see best with the white light. You won't ever have to worry about being in a situation where you will have problems distinguishing one color from another. If you are planning on having it on your keys, it will always be with you, so even at home it will be the handiest light to get to if you need to throw a little light on something. My 2¢ .

Actually, if you carry a 6p, there's your brighter white light! If you need more light than a white ARC, use the 6p. If you can/need to utilize a dimmer light, why not use one that gives you full spectrum sight (for reading maps, etc.) rather than a slightly brighter single spectrum (turquoise) source (can you tell I'm slightly biased

)? If I had a situation where I needed more light than the white ARC, I wouldn't fool around with a slightly brighter turquoise ARC, I'd get out my full power flashlight....

Just 2 more of my ¢ ... Hmmmmm... That's 4¢ too much already!

quickbeam is right "BUT" if you carry a 6p surefire theres your white light.i only have 1 arc-aaa and its turqiouse.it is absolutly amazing.if you have any stylus's its brighter than any of thier colors.red, green, blue and white.

you really dont need a white little light.thats where your 6p comes in.

buy a turqiouse arc-aaa you wont be dissatisfied.if you are i will buy it off of you.really i would.

on another note have you got a streamlight scorpion.in my eyes its better than the 6p or e1,e2.i have all of them and i like the e2 but the rubber coating on the scorpion does not get hot.and the e2 sure as hell does.

if you buy either of the arc's you'll be happy if your not i'll buy what u dont want.

feel free to email me.

my 2cents!!!

From this reviewer`s point of view, a good combination would be-

-white Arc-LS with all 3 power packs (no I don`t have mine for beta testing yet....still waiting, patiently?).
-A SureFire (your choice, but I like the E2).
-Turquoise Arc-AAA.

You then have the white LS for general use (and a choice of power whether you want small and bright, cheaper to run and bright, or longer burning and dimmer), the SF for when you need some more Power and the turquoise AAA for longer run time in a compact size, and a wide beam too- great for navigating the outdoors or even just finding your way to the bahtroom at night. The Turqiouse one is really nice, its blue-green colour is clearer to see with than blue or green on their own, and it`s a wide flood-like beam too, if a little ringed). Did I mention bright? Not so much that you`re dazzled by it at night- since its light is more spread out and easier on the eye. But more than enough to stop even clumsy me from falling down the stairs or tripping on strategically placed sealed-lead-acid batteries that I often use as doorstops (old dud ones I bring home from work occasionally)

BTW nice idea about making just the heads of the Arc-AAA avaliable to us lot. I think I suggested that to mr G a while ago, but busy flashlight manufacturer that he is, must have missed it.

How`s about it? A pack of all visible colour Arc-AAA heads (maybe not white cos most of us have that one already don`t we?) for say, under $100? Would be especially good for us reviewers cos I know I`ll not be able to afford all the remaining colours individually to be able to test them against each other.
