I just received three of the AA and 14500 Circuit Board for 3.7V LED Emitters 3-Pack (1.5V~4.2V Input) SKU 4735 from Deal Extreme.
I wired one up with a RCR123a that is charged to 4.0v and after about 5 seconds, the LED starts to flash. The LED (an SSC P4) works fine direct drive from the battery (it's mounted on a copper heatsink).
The LED does not flash when I use a regular CR123A and works fine with an AA battery.
Am I over-driving the circuit?
