i'm looking for a flashlight which uses my burnout CR123 from incandescant torches.

it might be a 3W luxeon (thinking, cree will be to expensive),
clickie and up to 30 USD.
it would be great if it is regulated.
i like a straight shape without a bigger bezel because i'll carry it in my pocket. (like fenix/jetbeam)

thank you for help!!

what about this one? Good host for a cree mod and u got a sub $30 123 cree light
I have got this MXDL for $15 the color is a bit blue-ish but good build quality
I also have the Luxogen LR5-3w $22 on ebay. this one is a bit more brighter and the color of light is much warmer. they run for about 40-50 minutes

the $15 MXDL light will be modified to a CREE or a Edison KLC-8 by me as soon as I have them

Kanarie,

Does that light have more than one level or is it just an on/off switch?
Let us know how the LED upgrade goes.

i like the Ultrafire 602D most - but it's no clickie.
(is it the same they offer for about 7 USD from Hongkong at ebay?)

otherwise - there's a L2T lying in the chest since i got my MKII -
perhaps i should buy a CR123 tube for it??
unfortunately it also costs 20 bucks

You can get the 602D for various prices, shop around and get the best buy is what I do.

As far as the cr123 body on the L2T. a good idea, but it will be quite a bit bigger as the L2T head alone is probably half the length of a P1 or 602D. Add to that the body and clickie switch and it will probably be close to the L1T in length and the width of the P1 if that is ok.
