LED with the throw of an E2e?

Since the E2e thread was moved and my LED question on that thread will now be OT on the other part of the forum... I'll re-ask my question.

Which white LED flashlight has the throw of the E2e? I have the L2. It's a great flashlight but its wider beam doesn't have the throw of my E2e.

It would be nice if Surefire would come out with an A3 version of the A2. Although I'm not crazy about the three little circles made by the A2's LEDs.

Thanks,
Rich

According to Quickbeam's flashlight reviews, he measured the new KL1 head for the E2e having a somewhat longer throw than the E2e incandescent lamp (brighter) but with less light output overall. This is no doubt due to the optic used to focus the LED beam. Check it out at flashlightreviews.com

Thanks very much, Lightraven! Interesting reveiw.

I'll have to see if my local Surefire dealer has the new KL1 heads in stock.

Be warned about the KL1 thought, you have absolutely NO sidespill. The throw is great though, but what i liked about the stock E2e is that it had throw with some sidespill.

The Aleph1 outthrows the E2e barely and the Laeph3 head will stomp the poor incan without mercy. With a LuxV the Aleph3 throws just as well as the E2e.

All camera and room setting were exactly the same, so you can compare directly.

Just go to the flashlightreviews site and look at the throw chart. The E2 has a throw rating of 37. There are a lot of LED lights with higher throw ratings.
