What will happen if you put four LEDs in one lens instead of each LED having its own lens? Will it look the same like if they had their own individual lenses?

Thanks!

Re: LED\'s and one lens

I don't know. I just wanted to comment on the cool looking "man-on-fire". AHHHHHH!!!!

Thats what happens if you look at a USL flashlight for too long. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin07.gif

It depends on the lens. I put 4 LEDs in a pr based bulb light that had a lens for the bulb and it skewed all 4 LEDs off the farther from the light the beam went... looked terrible.

Uvlaser it is a rayovac light with built in lens. You can see them in stores they are dark green with a black slide switch. The lens is designed for a standard bulb working with the reflector. It appears to be a pseudo fresnell (spelling?) lens about 1/2 inch in diameter. I ended up taking the lens out and using plastic from a CD case to make a new one.
