Legend LX intermittency (again)

I seem to recall this issue coming up before, but could someone please refresh my memory. I gave my brother a Brinkmann Legend LX and it's intermittent but seems to work OK for awhile after twisting the focus on the head a bit. Mine also acted up the same way this morning for the first time. What is the fix for this, please?
