I teach a Lego Robotics enrichment class at an after school program. What do you think would be a good objective for them?

Last week was to build a catapult, the week before was to outpull your opponent, and the week before that was to see who could pull the heaviest weight..

any more ideas?

Thanks

If you are ambitious you might want to try to have them design an elevator. It is possible with those LEGOs, but you need to do some basic gear ratios to actually get it to pull the elevator car up.

I am 90% sure that you will now get a few hundred suggestions about how to incorporate flashlights into your class...

perhaps get some jenga blocks and see if they can make a crane to stack the blocks? i don't know exactly what those lego sets include, my 10s of thousands of legos are all from the 80s and early 90s...no motors or lights lol, but it sounds like they have the lifting/pulling weight, perhaps something with some accuracy would be fun...and attach a flashlight lol
