Does anyone know of a good holster for a LF2XT. I've tried carrying it clipped to my pocket and that's just not cutting it. (It keeps turning on in my pocket). I'd like something the hangs on my belt and fits the light properly. I've looked at the Nite-Ize products and those look to be a little big for this tiny light.

Sorry, can't think of a suitable holster for this tiny light. But loosening the head to engage the lock-out would prevent accidental activation. That's how I carry it on my keychain (and with the 3-min auto-off activated, just in case).

I'm looking to make it my goto EDC light. Unfortunately turning the head isn't going to be possible most of the them when I need it. I prefer having the ODP enabled as opposed to the 3 min auto off anyways.

I too would like one, its hard to take out your keys the instant you need light...especially when you keep a lot of other stuff on it.

Hmmm, isn't strange to have a holster for a light of this size? It's so small. :)
Just have the thought that if ur gonna keep a light on a holster, it would be something of at least 1 x AA or 1 x 123 size. Just my opinion. And it seems that it would be a little difficult to get something so small out of a holster.

The Proton Pro comes with a small holster that would work perfectly. Might even have just enough room for a spare battery. I'll check it out at home tonight.

The Proton holster does work fine and there's room for a spare battery. Can't think of any smaller lights that might come with one for use with the LF2XT. Maybe DX has something.

My plan for the left hip includes:
Quark 123-2 Tactical
Leatherman Multitool
LF2XT

I wouldn't be adverse to having a holster that would properly contain two of the three. I prefer my flashlight holsters to be open top to allow easy access to the light. I don't utilize lanyards but I don't mind the clip being on the light to help hold and stabilize it in the holster.

More details needed? What would a nice custom holster for my toys run me?

The devil's in the details.
I can make one that holds all three, and spare batteries, if you wish.
I would suggest sewn over riveted as
1. Can be made smaller, and
2. is much stronger.
Although I can make a holster for all three, two items might be more ideal i.e. leatherman and light of of choice.
Need to know what type of leatherman i.e. Charge Ti, Super Tool, Wave, etc.
Do you want a flap over the leatherman that helps to keep it secure?
Do you want a spring steel pocket clip (easier to take on and off belt), leather belt loop sewn on both ends (very secure but PITA to take on and off), or leather belt loop with snap (I find these to be about the best for myself.
Do you want a basket weave or dragon scale design? Price goes up for these as the tooling becomes more time intensive.
Which flashlight would you like to have integrated with the leatherman? Quark or LF?
So many options...
I would figure a base cost of a sewn dual holster at around $40, and then goes up from there depending on the above. It's not exactly cheap, especially when compared to something in nylon, but it can be made exactly how you want it, and will last forever. Well, maybe not that long but if you wear it out, send it back and I'll make you another. I make them to last.

Definitely sewn. I prefer my holsters to just be barely bigger than the object they are holding. I'm carrying enough volume of stuff as it is.

I'm not sure which I would prefer. Do you think it would be possible to make a good compact holster for just the LF2XT?
I actually prefer a fixed sewn loop. I've had two many other things pop off my belt or get ripped off at work.
I would prefer minimal design. Just a nice semi-gloss black finish. This is going to be worn on my hip all day every day. It needs to look nice for work for meetings and hold up well when I have to get work done in the field.

Have I mentioned that lovecpf. There's always someone willing to help a guy in need out!

I'll talk to the elves and see what they can come up with...

They said it's not dry yet, so the final coat can't be put on it and the edges have not been properly dressed yet. Top is slightly larger in order to get the light holstered a bit easier. Bottom is molded so there is no way the light can come out the bottom and it's a good snug fit. Total hieght is just over 2.5 inches and width is 1.0 inch.

The diameter of my LF2XT is about .5 mm larger than my L0D. Do you think that will be a problem? I don't mind a snug fit and leather tends to stretch to the proper size over time.

Is that belt loop big enough for a fairly thick 1.5" belt?

.5mm will not make a difference. It will be snug, but leather does stretch. The loop will fit a thick 1.5 inch belt.

Doh! Now I want a custom holster! Light/extra mag, Light/Multitool, light/cellphone. And then Id have to decide which light to use it for also? Ugh the possibilitys are too endless. Hogokansatsukan you may be getting a PM in the near future, and part of my next paycheck. I would have to check the diameter of all my lights but optimally i'd like it to be able to fit either my Clicky, MD2 (bezel up), or LX2 since I tend to switch up my EDC from day to day.
