I have a Li-ion charger from KD for charging my 2D li-ion pack. The pack said it had a balanceing circuit for charging in series. I also have 2 of AW's C's. What do I have to do to be able to charge these in series with this 8.4v charger? Thanks

please post a link to charger.

usually for a 2 cell balance setup there would be a plug of sorts with 3 pins, or 3 wire setup as I understand it. One goes to + of the pack, one to -, and the other goes in-between the cells. I've never seen this set up in person but understand this to be the case in theory. If they sold you a balancing li-ion charger without instructions I'd be mildly disappointed at best.

Ok, let me clarify. The charger I have is a 8.4v li-ion charger. It has a positive and a negative clip. I got this with my 2D li-ion battery I got from kia domain. This is what I got, http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=2769, and here's the charger, http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=2734. Basicly, I'm wondering if its safe to connect my two C li-ions in series and charge them without a balanceing circuit thing. Thanks agian.

That does not look like it will charge two cells in balance. You should have three wires. Without the third wire, there's no way it can determine the charge of each cell independently.

In the first link I posted, in the first section about the battery, it says, "Built-in balanced charging circuit", Does that mean anything? if so, would I need one of these circuits to charge my C's? Also, if my C's are at the same voltage or a similiar voltage (ie. 3.56 and 3.58), can I charge them in series?

The description suggests that the two 32600 cells from KD are delivered already joined in a two cell pack, with a balancing circuit of some sort built into the pack. You then can charge them with the matching charger. The charger itself doesn't have a balancing feature, only the 2x32600 pack.

If you have, in addition, two individual AW C cells, then these cells do not have a balancing circuit included with them. To balance charge those, you will need an additional, external cell balancer.

ok, so there's no safe way to charge the individual "C"s without a balancer?
