Agreed. Most people are nice, unfortunately, it takes time to get to know someone.

Even before you get to know them, they're still the way they are, you just don't know what they're like yet. It's not like a nice person will refuse to be nice just because you don't know them yet; in fact, that sort of behavior usually indicates a person is not nice.

Being prepared is important, but it's not good to go through life suspicious of everyone you don't know. That sort of attitude tends to become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
