Can anyone please tell me what LiFEPO4 batteries are?

1. Are they really much safer than the Li-Ion batteries?

2. What are the pros and cons of using LiFEPO4 batteries instead of Li-Ion batteries?

3. Do LiFEPO4 batteries have the equivalent power as Li-Ion batteries?

4. What Chargers do you use for charging LiFEPO4 batteries?

They're Lithium batteries that are safer than the standard li-ion ones.

1. Are they really much safer than the Li-Ion batteries?
yup, they will not vent in flames as the standard li-ions O(LiCoO2)will if overcharged undercharged or shorted

2. What are the pros and cons of using LiFEPO4 batteries instead of Li-Ion batteries?
pros: safer - lighter
cons: lower voltage - lower mah

3. Do LiFEPO4 batteries have the equivalent power as Li-Ion batteries?
nope, they have less energy densite than standard li-ions

4. What Chargers do you use for charging LiFEPO4 batteries?
any li-ion charger that does 3.0v should be fine

You need a charger that charges to 3.6V. A charger for REGULATED 3.0V Li-Ion will overcharge a 3.0V LiFEPO4 battery.
