My local dealer is offering this price. These lights are on factory backorder for 3-4 weeks. UK is having problems with the lamp module; they received 100 pieces today and are scheduled to receive addtional 600 over the next 3 weeks; the 600 supposedly covers existing orders but who knows what orders they willl receive in the mean time

DOH!

I hate paying too much!

Please tell me they ship overseas.

Please tell me they take credit cards.

Please tell me when I can order one and from who- I want I want I want!!!

OK sorry for that little outburst, but as a self confessed addict of all things that glow, I am understandably a little excited at the prospect of owning my first short-arc metal halide spotlamp.

..is that $165 for a 8 C-cell model?
I think I would prefer the rechargeable version...
Are we planning on saving $ by installing our own rechargeable battery packs?

You are correct. In fact, at this time, UK does not offer a rechargeable version of this light. What UK does offer is the C8R nicad battery pack and companion charger which is intended for their regular 8 cell halogen dive light, and this set up does work in the LC 100. YeeDude noted in another thread that someone was offering the light, battery pack and charger for $350

Please note that the C8R pack is rated at 2800ma. and we have been told that it will run the light cannon 90-120 minutes as compared to 3-4 hours with akaline batteries. I think what YeeDude and I will try doing in to use some NiMh batteries rated at 4000ma and go to an outside source for charger.

then Mr. Led would be interested, Mr. Bear! I guess you could just pop those 8 c
nimh into the (fast) radio shack charger? Mine is at home, so can't refer to the model number -- (did it take Cs?)

Actually, those are 4500mAH NiMH C-cells that I'm looking at!

Can anyone find us a dealer willing to get us a group discount? The cheapest I've seen thus far was posted by Gandalf in my inquiry thread ($6.75 each plus shipping at Aspencer1.com).
