Light Wishlist '09

My list: (starting from most wanted)

2: 2AA Multimode MiniMag - $25
3: Malkoff M60WL
4: Energizer 1W (Cree) $18
5: Mag Hotwire Mod

I really have not found much other lights that interest me enough that i want to get it.
Im probably going to add to this list though.

I have started venturing into custom lights this year so the lights I would want to acquire sometime before the end of 2009 are:

• Lunasol 20 - $495 + shipping (ordered this one on 02/22)
• Haiku - $445 + shipping
• La Petite Killer (bare Ti) - $95
• TiCN Draco - $275

I figure if I can set aside something like $4/day (or sold enough of my existing lights on CPFMP) I will have eventually set aside enough by the end of 2009 to get those lights on that list... :thinking:

still thinking of which would be best. this is current list, and ranking
if "cheap": 1.nitecore d10, 2.itp, or 3.liteflux
if "bit more": 4.ra clicky, 5.jetbeam 6.-?-

cant decide. have been thinking 3 weeks already what to buy.

maybe get after the edc if money allows:
headlamp (zebralight h50 and alpkit gamma and princeton tec are on the list)

things that i WILL get or make in order of priority:

1.Maglite 2d with niteize dropin. (for my dad as beater light)
2.Maglite 2/3/4d terralux dropin (for my car as beater light)
3:Mce, p7 or multi cree flood light, with 2-3 mode (lo-med-hi).
4.My modded tonfa light (with cheap dx light i suppose)

maybe get if money to spend:
5.Maglite 2-4d with rop or something similar high output
(if wont make this rop, then i will probably buy Vector hid)
6. firestarter torch flashlight to awe people.
7.-15. some other cool lights i might want/need.

also i would buy in a heartbeat, and this goes beyond everything else:

The only light that I have my eye on is the new Fenix TK40.

I really want to venture into the world of titainium, so a LunaSol 20 would be a good step in that direction. I am hoping my tax return will arrive before the wave is sold out.

I am also planning on having my KL2 head on my M3-CB modded by milkyspit. I am currently debating on a single P7 or MC-E with muti-levels, or a tri-R2 Cree mod with an Acorn driver set-up.

I am also going to pick up a Zebralight at some point in the near future, as I need a nice floody headlamp.

Then there are the new Surefires coming out as well, but I will wait and see which ones ACTUALLY get released this year.

My 2009 Wishlist consists of just one light. I have heard so many of my fellow Flashaholics rave about it that I just have to have one. It is the Surefire E2D LED Defender. I already have the E1B Backup. Its high of 80 lumens and low of 5 lumens IMHO is just about perfect. I think that the Defenders high of 120 lumens and low of 5 lumens would be a very hard combination to beat. Also, I want to build another light like the SF Z2 Combatlight that I put together years ago. It will consist of a FiveMega C Tail C Head 2x18650 Black Finish body, and a Standard Surefire Z44 Bezel with a G&P A.I. Tailcap Switch with STROBE Function and a Malkoff M60 drop-in, with power coming from 2 AW 18650 Li-ion button top batteries. And there you are, a kick _ss light that should be really bright and run for a very long time in between rechargings. Anyway that is my wishlist for 2009. I first want to finish my MiniMag MC-E and then let's see what's on my list:

Lummi Wee NS for my keychain
Zebralight H60 for night photography
Surefire G2L to use when it gets dirty

That's it for now. Later the year I want to finish my Maglite bikelight and maybe replace the P7 with a warmer tinted one. Depending on what's come out I'll get a new EDC. But basically my list changes every week .

If I can somehow keep myself some purchasing Ti led pocket torches, I'd love to purchase something from PolarionUSA. However I am most likely gonna push for another one of Don's PD flashlights...
