I am curious what other companies besides sure fire make lights with twisty switches ( button for momentary on and twist tail for constant). I know solar force makes a after market tail cap. Just curious if any other companies make them

Many Surefire lights use twistys. My favorite is the sw01. They have been discontinued for awhile, but you can find one in the MP from time to time. They were made for the older weaponlights, but work fine on M3 and M4. They make control of the light with your hand or thumb very easy. With any twisty is will help to keep it well lubricated. Most people say twistys are more reliable that clickies because there are fewer working parts. I agree.

Some McGizmo lights works this way. In fact, the UI was a big plus for his Piston Drive (PD) systems.

Tagging this thread. Most interested as this is pretty much the only acceptable switch for tactical use.

I know you can get them as an option on elzetta lights.

My 4sevens S12 has a button/clicky switch that is momentary unless you twist it to lock it on. It also changes the brightness.

ShiningBeam I-mini XP-G Neutral White Tactical LED Flashlight 245 Lumens

- Tactical Momentary-on forward switch

Could be wrong, but I believe the Thrunite Scorpion (and by extension, maybe the Gladius?) has a twisty-selector option for momentary-only, twist for constant-on or strobe, etc.
