LiPo Battery swell up.. (2S Lipo pack)..

Hello,

What are the reasons why a LiPo Battery will swell up?
(Turnigy nano-tech 10000mah 2S 40~80C Lipo Pack)

the battery swelled up slowly during the last year of use.

i would take it outside and run it down.then recycle.
seen some nasty failures of puffed up lipoly.better safe than sorry!

If it does happen to catch fire (lithium + oxygen = fire), most conventional fire extinguishers (including water) will have very limited effect. Cover with a large amount of sand or salt to restrict airflow in that case. Better get it into a recycling center ASAP.
