==== 6/4 Updated with SSC P4 runtime ====
Please refer to the long old mini-review: http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showpost.php?p=2024408
or comparison only version in the same thread: http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showpost.php?p=2024408&postcount=34

It's roughly about 2/3 of Cree XR-E version.
==================================

Just got the SSC P4 version of LF2 this morning. :devil: Here's a quick comparison.

The XR-E is 80mm, and SSC is 77mm:

Head shots: (Left is XR-E, right is SSC P4)

The reflector of SSC P4 is shallower and it's about 4.5mm. The XR-E version is deeper, about 8mm.

The OP reflector of XR-E is heavier.

The SSC P4 is put on the anodized head cap and the center hole of reflector is larger.

Beam shot around 20cm: (Left is XR-E, right is SSC P4)
both use NiMH and in P2 position. DC isn't white balanced.

It's a great floody light for short distance use. :D

Thanks for the info, NetKidz. I like the shorter length of the SSC P4. That was about the only gripe I had about the Cree model. Looks good. Decisions, decisions.

I've been waiting for the SSC version. I don't see it on the liteflux website. Where can I buy one?

Hello Flying Turtle,
They only differ in 3mm. Maybe it's noticable for a small light. :) I think the pros of the SSC version is the larger sidespill, more usaful for short distance like reading.

Hello nanotech17,
Yes. I'm in Taiwan. That's one of the great flashlights I could easily get. No need to wait for long distance int'l shipping. :D

Hello PhantomPhoton,
I got it from a pre-order locally. They haven't updated the web yet. It's a production version and I think the dealers should have them in stock soon.

Re: LiteFlux LF2 Cree XR-E vs SSC P4

I think I probably will stick with the XR-E version. I actually prefer a little less sidespill than what the SSC model provides. It is nice that both options are available. I still really like this light for its programmable levels feature and ability to be set to come on at a very low level.

i have them up in my sales thread. to raise awareness of the existence of LF2, there is currently a CPF special promotion on either version of LF2.

The LF2 is getting very hard to refuse. Will think about it while camping this weekend and maybe order next week. I have been looking at the LF1 also. You should consider some type of bundle sale for the two. :)

Re: LiteFlux LF2 Cree XR-E vs SSC P4

Nice price drop.

Are there other differences besides the seoul and the shorter reflector? Were any design improvements based on the X-RE feedback that made it into the seoul version?

SSC P4 version runtime done. :D

It's roughly about 2/3 of the Cree version. The testing environment is similar, maybe the Vf of SSC P4 is higher than XR-E.
